The Market Turns Up in July!

The real estate market for most of our areas has turned positive in July. Pent up demand supported by dramatically low interest rates is driving the current market. Also... dramatically lower active listings is helping to increase the current seller's market. Greater demand and less supply means prices either holding steady... or in many cases increasing.

SLO County: Closed sales up 7.8%. Active listings down 33%. 

Pismo Beach: Closed sales up 35%. Active listings down 47%. (Wow!)

Arroyo Grande: Closed sales down 16%. Active listings down 35%.

Grover Beach: Closed sales up 87%. Active listings down 53% (Another Wow!)

Nipomo: Closed sales down 12%. Active listings down 40%.

While AG and Nipomo showed declines... those percentages are far less than some of the previous months. With our smaller communities it is helpful to view the entire county as a whole which indicates the general market up 7.8%.
